HLT33215 Certificate III in Health Support Services

The Certificate III in Health Support Services prepares you to work in a range of work environments within the health and aged care industry. With a strong focus on food safety, WH&S, infection control compliance, communication and team building. 

This qualification is part of an exciting and diverse career pathway in the community services and health sectors. Health Support Services do not involve direct care assistance tasks such as assisting other staff with care of clients.

Course Description

This qualification covers workers who provide support for the effective functioning of health services. These functions are carried out under supervision and require the use of some discretion and judgement. These workers may also provide a team leadership, workplace training or leading hand function. These workers do not deliver direct care to clients.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements or pre-requisites for entry this course.

Course Delivery/Duration

  • 6-month program - this course is delivered over 14 sessions scheduled fortnightly. Participants who are not currently working within the industry will complete a minimum of 3 days work experience within this period.
